All The Single Ladies!

In the past, buying a home was something you did AFTER you got married.  However, that paradigm has shifted in recent years.  More Americans are single than ever before and there are a variety of paths to home ownership.  In 2017, the US Census bureau reported that 110.6 million American adults were single, the highest number on record, and 53 per cent of that group are women.  That’s a lot of buying power!

In November 2018, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) released the “2018 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers”.  Eighteen per cent of the recent homebuyers who responded to the survey were single women.  The biggest reason these women decided to purchase a home was simply the desire to own their own home.

The stats clearly show that more women are realizing they don’t need a spouse or significant other to realize their dream of home ownership.  Owning a home is an incredible investment and can provide a sense of stability to the homeowner. It’s no longer considered a burden that can get in the way of other goals you might have such as world travel or career advancement. That’s where having a great REALTOR® assisting you will ensure you find the right home that meets your needs and fits your lifestyle.

Home ownership is one of the best investments you can ever make. You will build your net worth by owning your dream home and recoup your investment (and maybe make a tidy little profit) when the time comes for you to sell. If you’re paying the same amount or, often times more, on rent as you would on a mortgage payment, doesn’t it make sense to put that monthly amount into a home where you’ll actually get a return on your investment? Of course it does!

I know you’re a smart woman so what are you waiting for? It’s time to invest in yourself and your future.  Reach out to me and I can help you get started.
